Kylie Hoornaert, a sophomore at Prospect High in California, placed second in the girls varsity medium school race at the 43rd ASICS Clovis Invitational after being held off by Archbishop Mitty sophomore Evie Marheineke by an 18:16.6 to 18:16.7 margin on the 5-kilometer course at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Prospect was 22nd overall with 571 points.
